5, 6, 7.

Hey pals.

Weekend was tough re: making good food choices but sweet by most all other accounts. I didn’t eat anything substantial on April 30/day 5 until late (9 pm!) when I had a “Love It” size of ice cream from Cold Stone. Oops. Earlier, I had two mangoes and a bowl of the microwave Annie’s mac and cheese. Day 5 bled into Day 6 because we went to Pick Me Up pretty late where I had a veggie grinder covered in thick, delicious melted provolone. And fries. Duh.

Day 6 was an Italian sandwich from Potbelly’s in the original size and most of a Boylan’s Black Cherry soda. A slice of goat cheese and pesto pizza from Whole Foods and half a chocolate and espresso bean woopie pie, a brownie square, and a few peanuts for a late snack.

Day 7, today, was horrendous but of the same sort. Two bananas. One with a big spoonful of peanut butter. Two bowls of the microwave mac and cheese. It’s not over yet! Dinner will be a piece of blackened salmon with spinach cooked with garlic and ginger and a mango for dessert. I pregamed that shit and ate a wrap with CSA greens and red pepper and feta cheese. So hungry! I hope I wake up early enough to have breakfast. Crucial.

I am, indeed, thinking more about what I put into my guts by keeping track of it. A part of me sees it as a competition with myself to maintain (start, more like) good habits. I don’t think I can do that without first documenting what an idiot I am.
