Separating stems from caps. Plain old white button and baby portabella. Stems’ll go into a stock I’m making with the CSA onions and parsley, a bay leaf, and I’m not sure what else, but I don’t plan to buy anything for it and don’t have much else by way of vegetable scraps. The caps are for a mushroom and parm lasagna. I will toss a simple but flavorful salad that I think’ll go well with an earthy pasta. Just some CSA lettuce, grape tomatoes, and a nice and salty danablu from Whole Foods. Cheese and beer: the only things I ever buy there. I think the salad would go well with a medium rare steak, but I don’t cook meat because riding with meat in my bag creeps me out a little, like I will get distracted by babez or pals or nice weather and will have meat collecting dangerous bacteria and spoiling on my back, and I will not notice until I get home because I’m pretty forgetful. Ok, food internet diary, good night.
